COVID-19 Information
Recently, the POTUS has declared Coronavirus (COVID-19) a national emergency. While the Centers for Disease Control still considers COVID-19 to be a low threat to the general American public, the Phoenix VA Regional Office (VARO) is taking precautions to safeguard everyone at our facilities.
As part of this process before you travel to any VBA facility, everyone should ask themselves the following 3 questions:
- Do you have a fever or worsening cough or flu-like symptoms?
- Have you traveled to China, Japan, Italy, Iran or South Korea in the last 14 days?
- Have you been in close contact with someone, including health care workers, confirmed to have the coronavirus disease?
Seek medical advice if you answer Yes to any of these questions and minimize your public contact.
Instead of physically traveling to a VBA Facility the following alternatives are advised:
Contact VA By Phone: 1-800-827-1000
Contact VA via Online: www.va.gov or www.iris.custhelp.va.gov/app/ ask
Use an alternative contact method to reach a Veterans Service Organization at https://www.va.gov/vso/
